A multi-medium interdisciplinary artist, Alice Robinson, is self-taught in illustration, painting, photography, and digital design, along with several other materials and art styles. This website is an art gallery and small business where you can view her photography, and illustrations, and purchase small capsule collections.
Her earliest memories are of drawing a night sky with colored pencils in a first-grade class. Later she transitioned over to the digital realm utilizing a 1998 Wacom tablet and a prehistoric version of Adobe Photoshop in her father's computer room where she could learn from watching him create CAD renderings as an industrial engineer and lighting designer. From there digital art manifested into photography and body painting where the two merged creating otherworldly creatures with paint and digital manipulation. Next, she would learn to harness the power of her own hands and begin building 3D installations out of up-cycled and broken electronics, adding living plants to synthesize the organic with non-organic.
Most of her plant installations and projects are an homage to her family. The electronic aspect from her Father, the contextual reference and historical art significance learned from her Mother, the knowledge of animal species and environmental practices from her grandfather Geoff (a nature conservationist), and the green thumb from grandma Arlene, aka mother nature herself.
